Wastewater treatment

KEMIRA and CATRA are world leaders in the manufacture of organic and inorganic coagulants, anionic and cationic flocculants, antifoams and defoamers.

The flocculants are polyacrylamide based, with a very high content of the active substance (95-98%), and are available in the form of granules or emulsion. They are used in industrial or municipal waste water treatment plants (WWTP) for the treatment of drinking water, wastewater or sludge and have a number of other applications in the paper, mining, oil refining and metallurgical industries.

The products of the Sedifloc® and Superfloc product lines are synthetic organic polymers used for the treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater as well as for water from surface water sources and for sludge conditioning. The use of flocculants from this product line ensures high clarity of the treated water, remarkable acceleration of the sedimentation process and the ability to work within very wide pH ranges (from 4 to 13) using a very low dose of the products. They are used in a variety of processes such as: flotation, sludge dewatering in centrifuges and in a variety of filter presses, and compaction of different types of sludge.
